Reds
Red is the colour of life and is vibrant and energetic
and has associations with passion. It is considered so
powerul by the Chinese as to even be able to ward of evil.
Yellows
Sometimes an arresting colour yellow is associated with
soil, and promotes thought and freshness.
Greens
Greens are strongly linked to the wood element and bring
warmth and life. Greens thus stimulate growth and
vitality.
Blues
Blue has strrong associations with harmony, and is linked
to both loyalty and trustworthiness.
Purples
Purple is often associated with philosophers and
accordingly it is linked to wisdom and truth. It is a
strong colour and can be associated with passion.
White
White is associated with autumn, and symbolises purity
and cleanliness.
Black
Linked heavily with water, black is associated with
honour, although it also has connotations with death.
Orange The
Chinese for orange is phonetically similar for the word
"to pray for good fortune" and therefore is
associated with the arrival of good luck.
